THE LARGEST ONLINE COMMUNITY THAT GIVES EVERYONE A VOICE IN FASHION.Chictopia connects style seekers to tastemakers similar in shape, size, and taste. Members can receive newsletter updates on latest fashion trends, share style tips, redeem chic rewards with their chic points, and trade in our community’s freemarketplace.
I should first say that I am by no means “discovering” Chictopia; it is a very popular site having launched in April of 2008. I do however think it is far from it’s peak, and I’m excited to see where it goes from here!
Chictopia offers social networking for the fashion-forward and fashion-curious. Users are permitted to upload outfits daily, as well as gain inspiration by checking out other user’s outfit. You can also “favorite” and “follow” your favorite style icons. Chictopia is seamlessly blended with Facebook and Twitter and also has it’s own YouTube page.
Be sure to check out Chictopia, and if fashion is your thing be sure to harness all the social media power it has to offer!

CaliforniaLuv84 is a great YouTube.
Liz is a wonderful example of a modest YouTuber - she isn’t here to sell anything or be anyone else then who she is.
She has made a name for herself by making videos that showed who she really is, mixed with her own style of video editing.
Check her out!
KassemG is like the Tom Green of YouTube.
He turned a simple YouTube Channel featuring raunchy humor into something of his own network.
His most popular video series “California on…” goes onto the streets of Venice Beach to ask random Californians about current subjects in culture: California on Osama, California on Gay Marriage, California on Egypt…
“California on…” has since lead to “Going Deep” a melodramatic talk show featuring porn stars, “Awkward Moments,” and “Street Music.”
Aside form his humor, what I love most about KassemG is that he is aware of the revolution he is part of. When interviewed he speaks of the social media revolution, and he knows exactly what the modest empire he is now building will be worth.
Welcome to the Game :)

I VERY strongly recommend checking out TED - it is in my top 3 favorite YouTube channels.
TED (Technology, Entertainment, and Design) shares the best ideas from the TED Conference with the world, for free: trusted voices and convention-breaking mavericks, icons and geniuses, all giving the talk of their lives in 18 minutes.
TED was already a big deal before YouTube, but YoutTube is what made it accessible to everybody and a global phenomenon. TED is an amazing example of the broader goodness that social media has given to the world.
Giving such a huge audience (76 million to be exact) insight to such an incredible convention that offers free education and a view on worldly issues will literally change the world. Thanks TED.
Welcome to the Game. ;)
Campaigns and social media have been in the news a lot this year – Republican primaries and London riots in just the last week – and the exposure will increase as the US heads into election year in 2012. I want to look at how political campaigns have evolved in their use of the internet…
Karmin - One of my YouTube favorites.
More coming soon on them! :)
